Must Hold a Valid Secret Security Clearance

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Web Designer for a long-term onsite contract opportunity in Ottawa, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in object-oriented software development and a strong background in full-stack web technologies, along with a valid Secret Security Clearance.

Key Qualifications
Education: Diploma from a recognized Community College in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology.
Experience:
180+ months as a Software Developer within the last 240 months.
120+ months in OO design in n-tier architecture (within 144 months), applying design patterns such as Singleton, Factory.
36+ months designing and developing REST APIs & microservices (within 60 months).
36+ months of web development using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML (within 60 months).
24+ months of OO development with relational databases using ORM tools like Hibernate or Spring JPA (within 60 months).
12+ months working with the Angular framework (within 36 months).
12+ months working in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) (within 60 months).
36+ months writing unit/integration tests using JUnit/Mockito (within 60 months).

Additional Technical Experience
Containerization: Docker & Kubernetes (within 84 months).
Deployment Pipelines & Monitoring: CI/CD, system performance monitoring.
Java Development: Using IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code (within 180 months).
Front-End: RxJS and reactive programming (within 84 months).
Cloud: AWS S3 (within 84 months).
Tools: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket (within 84 months).
Version Control: Git (branching, merging, rebasing).
Messaging Systems: RabbitMQ or Kafka (within 84 months).
Monitoring: Grafana (dashboard creation, performance monitoring).
Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data (within 84 months).
Database: SQL (indexes, query optimization, table design).
OS: Linux command-line proficiency (within 84 months).
