We’re Hiring: 7 Intermediate Data Analysts (Contract)
Remote (with occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)
Contract Position

Our client is seeking seven (7) skilled Intermediate Data Analysts to support the delivery of high-impact data engineering and analytics services. These roles are part of a growing initiative to modernize data workflows and deliver data-driven insights that improve operational efficiency and decision-making. Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where deliverables evolve iteratively based on user needs and technical opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering:
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines (on-premises & cloud: Azure, AWS, GCP).
Ensure high data quality, integrity, and availability for business and analytical use.
Work cross-functionally with developers, data scientists, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements.
Optimize legacy workflows and ETL processes (SSIS, SQL Server).
Implement best practices in data governance, security, and architecture (data lakes, warehouses).
Deploy data solutions across SQL and NoSQL environments.
Work with large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights.
Data Analytics:
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify business trends and patterns.
Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports (Power BI, SAS VA).
Conduct statistical modeling and develop actionable insights.
Deliver analytics, KPIs, and dashboards that inform business strategy.
Use SQL and other tools to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Develop strategies to improve service delivery using data modeling and service metrics.
Provide mentorship to Agile teams and help enhance analytics maturity across the organization.
Support corporate goals using data-driven evidence and storytelling.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Work Experience:
4+ years as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role.
4+ years querying with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL).
2+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
2+ years working with BI tools, data marts, and data warehousing solutions.

Location
Remote-first, with occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, Alberta. Candidates must be able to attend in-person sessions when required.
