📍 Location: Primarily Remote (Quarterly Travel to Edmonton, AB)

Do you bring a passion for human-centered design and creating seamless service experiences? We’re seeking a Service Designer to collaborate across 2–3 dynamic projects, transforming programs and services for maximum user and business impact. If you’re ready to bring strategic insight, creative facilitation, and tangible design thinking into real-world transformation—this one’s for you.

Key Responsibilities
🔹 Integrate human-centered design (HCD) into program reviews and digital transformation efforts
🔹 Conduct field research, co-design workshops, prototype testing, journey mapping, and more
🔹 Analyze user and employee experience across all channels (web, phone, print, in-person, etc.)
🔹 Deliver documentation, visual artifacts, and iterative service solutions based on user needs and business goals
🔹 Partner with program teams to co-create processes, policies, and change management strategies
🔹 Assess service performance and develop roadmaps, blueprints, and service metrics for success

Your Expertise Includes
✔️ Strong background in service design, UX research, and design facilitation
✔️ Ability to lead or contribute to activities like:
User and behavioral research
Journey maps & service blueprints
Co-design workshops & prototype testing
Process mapping & usability testing
User story creation
Service performance analysis and reporting

✔️ Comfortable working iteratively and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
✔️ Skilled at turning research into clear, actionable service strategies and solutions
✔️ Adaptable and experienced in remote work with occasional on-site engagements

Additional Notes
✏️ You’ll need to provide your own computer, software, and workspace for remote work
✏️ Onsite office facilities will be provided if in-person work is required
✏️ Travel within Alberta may be necessary for field research and user interviews
✏️ Use of Microsoft Teams is standard for virtual collaboration

Security Requirements
🔒 A current criminal record check may be required
🔒 Enhanced Security Clearance will be mandatory for some assignments
🔒 Higher-level clearances (e.g., RCMP Top Secret) may be requested during the term
