Position: Financial Analyst Junior
Location: Toronto, ON (3 days per week)
Contract – Long-Term
Responsibilities:
In search of an independent, self-motivated junior Financial Analyst with an accounting, journal entry preparation, and month-end close background who has experience implementing projects, user testing, and data mining, as well as excellent analytical and advanced Excel skills. Additionally, preferred skills include MicroStrategy, SAP, or Alteryx experience

Describe the typical day-to-day in this role.
Attend project team calls, collaborate with the IT team (develop and enhance revenue reports), user testing, download and analyze data from vendor portals, prepare journal entries, test, create MicroStrategy reports, and automate manual processes. Contractor will also participate in daily Subscriber remittance processing, imports, cash, analysis, and revenue recognition.

Experience in Accounting/Finance environment, Strong analytical skills (manipulating large data, advanced Excel), Independent/ self-motivated
Supporting Media Direct to Consumer Project initiatives (attending project calls, tracking project timelines, working with IT on developing and updating reports), testing, and data analysis for direct-to-consumer product launches.
Support Automation initiatives
Responsible for the preparation of revenue journal entries. Assist with the month-end close.
Responsible for the timely completion of account analysis and reconciliations.
Responsible for Subscriber Revenue remittance processing and subscriber cash process
Ad-hoc work as assigned.
Qualifications include 3 years of experience in an accounting/finance environment, experience in data mining, strong analytical skills, solid computer skills (advanced Excel and PowerPoint), experience in building and improving Finance automation, and expertise in Financial Systems (SAP), MicroStrategy, and Alteryx).
