Exciting Opportunity: Data Architect/Modeller
Location: Hybrid (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
Eligibility: 3+ years of PR in Canada or Canadian Citizen

Are you ready to shape the data landscape of a forward-thinking organization? We’re looking for a passionate Data Architect/Modeller to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll design, document, and optimize data systems, ensuring seamless integration across various platforms and driving data excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Design & Architect: Develop high-level designs of data systems, including detailed models, schema structures, and entity relationships.
Data Integration: Create comprehensive plans for data migration, ETL processes, and integration between systems and databases.
Quality & Governance: Implement data management policies, ensure data quality, and define data security strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business, and data engineers, to guide data stewardship and maintain integrity.
Reporting & Improvement: Regularly assess and report on data quality, identifying areas for enhancement and optimization.
Essential Skills & Experience:
7+ years of experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, with expertise in relational, star, and snowflake schemas.
Hands-on experience with ERWIN, VISIO, and Power Designer for data modeling.
Proficiency in designing schemas for diverse data types, including in data lake or lakehouse environments, using Azure services (Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Databricks).
Strong understanding of data governance, master data management, and Medallion architecture (or similar frameworks).
Expertise in data partitioning, indexing, and optimizing data models for performance.

Strong analytical and communication skills to convey complex data concepts to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of data security, privacy, and industry standards, particularly in health-related environments.
