Job Opportunity: IMPERVA Security Engineer
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days per week in-office, Downtown)
Contract Length: 6 months (possible extension to 9 months)

Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on IMPERVA Security Engineer to join an exciting opportunity with a major Canadian financial institution (Big 5 Bank). This is a contract position based in Toronto, with 2 days per week required in the office. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the security of the database infrastructure, with a focus on database security solutions and tools like Imperva, Guardium, SecureSphere, and Ide. Experience in cloud-based environments such as Azure or AWS is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support: Provide ongoing support for the Imperva database activity monitoring infrastructure (patching, upgrades, agent management).
Project Support & Deployment: Assist in Imperva project expansion, including server configurations, Imperva console setup, and agent rollout to new database servers.
Collaboration: Partner with the Data Protection team to manage monitoring rules and data protection protocols.
Security Incident Response: Actively participate in security incident response and assist in post-event reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Documentation: Produce clear technical documentation for Imperva-related processes, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience:
Hands-on experience with Imperva: Expertise in configuring agents and software across various environments.
Database Security Solutions: Familiarity with Guardium, SecureSphere, Imperva, Ide, and database security best practices.
Operating Systems: Experience with Windows, Linux, and AIX OSes.
Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL databases.
Cloud Experience: Exposure to cloud environments like Azure or AWS is preferred.
Security Focus & Communication: Strong understanding of security best practices, regulatory compliance, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a security-focused role in large enterprises or financial institutions.
Expertise with Imperva or similar database security tools (e.g., Guardium, SecureSphere).
Cloud technologies experience (preferably Azure or AWS) is a plus.
