Senior Financial Analyst

🔹 Hybrid Work Model – 2-3 days in office (DT Toronto)
🔹 12-Month Contract with high potential for extension or full-time conversion
🔹 Engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
🔹 Work on process improvement initiatives and impactful financial projects

💼 Responsibilities:
✅ Oversee Insurance and Loan Loss Provision month-end close
✅ Conduct financial analysis and explain results
✅ Provide oversight for Insurance legal entities and quarterly board deliverables
✅ Ensure strong financial controls and implement process improvements
✅ Manage offshore team deliverables and collaborate with key stakeholders
✅ Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
✅ Mentor and support team members in financial processes

🎯 Qualifications:
✔️ 5-7+ years of experience in financial services
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VBA, Macros)
✔️ Strong analytical and investigative skills
✔️ CPA accreditation or equivalent preferred
✔️ Experience with ERP financial applications (Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle)
✔️ Knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and financial controls
✔️ Loan loss provision and insurance experience is a plus
✔️ Strong communication and team collaboration skills
