Exciting Opportunity: 2 Junior Budget Analysts Wanted!

Are you looking to make an impact in financial planning? Do you have a passion for data analysis and budget management? We have an exciting opportunity for two Junior Budget Analysts to join the dynamic Financial Planning team on a temporary contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage the client’s budget and assist with preparing quarterly forecasts.
Collaborate with program areas at various levels to analyze and explain spending trends, variances, and forecast projections.
Consolidate and analyze large amounts of financial data, tailoring communication to different audiences.
Ensure financial system coding and reports are maintained and monitored accurately.
Review contracts and grants to ensure budget availability.
Prepare client estimates, fiscal updates, and key reports including Annual Reports and Committee of Supply Briefings.
Provide strategic financial advice to client areas, ensuring clarity and precision in your guidance.
Respond to urgent, ad-hoc financial requests and assist with additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
A solid 1 year of experience in creating and managing project forecasts and actual budgets.
Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Excel PowerPivot (1+ years preferred).
Experience in a Canadian Public Sector organization is a highly valued asset).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide strategic financial advice.

Contract Duration: Initial term with potential extension (up to 9 months)
