Position Summary:
The Business Analyst role reports to the Mortgage Servicing Consultant. This role enables successful change by comprehending business problems and defining end to end solutions that will maximize value to stakeholders, while aligning with technical and operational standards, guidelines and best practices. The Business Analyst assesses the overall effectiveness of a business and its departments to devise solutions to problems.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical leads to solicit and capture business and technology requirements, Use Cases, User Stories, Capability Mapping, Story MappingLeads the end-to-end business requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project, working collaboratively with stakeholders from lines of business, technology, operations and governance & control, always keeping a customer-centric focusPrepare models and process maps for improvement maps and models for proposed systems (requirements gathering, analysis, documentation)Proactive identification and management of requirement risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraintsContribution to Quality Assurance activities by supporting development of test strategies, test plans and test scenarios; and active participation in assessment and resolution of testing defectsReview the requirements with all stakeholdersGather, review and analyze data regarding the business and its operationsCollaborate with project managers and cross-functional teamsAssess options for process improvement, including business process modelingAssist in maintaining documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations
Qualifications & Experience:
Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Analytics or related field
Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:
5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in banking/financial services industryStrong understanding of banking regulations and vendor risk management principlesDemonstrated contract negotiation and relationship management skillsExperience with vendor management tools and performance trackingExperience creating mapping various business processes and protocolsFamiliarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycleStrong data and analysis and financial modeling capabilitiesUnderstanding of banking technology systems and integrationsAbility to communicate and influence key stakeholdersResourceful and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication skills
