Technical Analyst (iSeries / Infrastructure Ops) – Hybrid in Toronto! 🚀 Contract

We’re looking for a Technical Analyst with strong iSeries expertise to join a high-performing infrastructure operations team. You’ll support large-scale banking applications, work across multiple LPARs, and play a key role in a major migration initiative.
What You’ll Do
✨ Provide L1/L2 support for multiple iSeries servers and environments
✨ Own hardware upgrades, OS updates, PTF deployments, and system maintenance
✨ Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage production changes
✨ Support job scheduling, performance reporting, and application uptime
✨ Collaborate with cross-functional teams across infrastructure, operations, and apps
✨ Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
🔹 5+ years as a Technical Analyst (iSeries / AS400 / IBM i)
🔹 Strong hands-on experience with:
• MQ
• Connect Direct
• BRMS
• GoAnywhere
• Dynatrace
• CL programming
• SQL
🔹 Experience administering LPARs, OS upgrades, and software release cycles
🔹 Solid understanding of System i security & Digital Certificate Manager
🔹 Familiarity with job schedulers (Robot, IBM Job Scheduler, etc.)
🔹 Strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving mindset
Nice to Have
⭐ Experience with performance tuning
⭐ Exposure to banking or financial systems
⭐ Relevant certifications
