Job Overview:

 

Title: Senior Technical Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Location: Mississauga (3 days in office 2 days remote) – Working hours will be 9 AM EST to 5 PM EST with a total of 37.5 hours per week.

Rate: up to $80-$90 per hour INC /$125,000 – $130,000 + bonus + benefits as FTE

Duration: 6 month contract then flip to permanent full time ***(Contract-to-Hire)

 

 

 

Position Overview:

 

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead infrastructure-based projects with a strong focus on Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of project management experience and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially within the Azure environment. This role involves leading cross-functional teams through agile methodologies, managing sprints, overseeing new releases, and ensuring seamless deployments.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

 

Project Leadership: Lead large-scale infrastructure projects with a strong focus on Azure Cloud implementations. Ensure project goals align with organizational objectives.

Agile Delivery: Manage and oversee the execution of projects in an agile environment, coordinating sprints, planning new releases, and ensuring timely deployments.

Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of cloud-based infrastructure projects.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams and business leaders, to understand project requirements, manage expectations, and deliver value.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and minimizing potential roadblocks.

Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive project documentation, status updates, and reports to communicate progress to stakeholders.

Azure Expertise: Utilize deep expertise in Azure Cloud services, guiding technical teams in infrastructure build-outs, migrations, and performance optimization.

Budget Management: Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

 

Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience, primarily focused on infrastructure projects.

Proven experience working within Azure Cloud infrastructure environments.

Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies, with experience managing sprints, releases, and deployments.

Excellent team leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage technical teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Certified Project Manager (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is preferred.

Solid experience in managing large-scale infrastructure implementations, including server migrations, network infrastructure upgrades, and cloud deployments.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to executive stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.

Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
