Senior Data Engineer Lead / Data Engineer Lead – AWS & Snowflake
Location: Hybrid | Type: Full-Time – Markham
Are you a Snowflake and AWS expert ready to become the go-to technical leader on a high-impact data engineering team? We’re looking for a Data Engineer Lead to own the design, development, and optimization of cloud data pipelines and analytics workflows using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the implementation and optimization of data pipelines in AWS and Snowflake.
Serve as the SME for cloud-based data architecture and guide the team on best practices.
Build, test, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using dbt and Airflow.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable data solutions.
Mentor team members and drive technical excellence across the data engineering function.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
Strong technical expertise in cloud data engineering; Azure-only experience is secondary.
Proven problem-solver with a track record of leading complex projects.
Certifications in cloud technologies are a plus; commitment to achieve SnowPro certification if not already certified.
Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
