Exciting Opportunity: Network Designer Consultant
Location: Hybrid, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Travel Required

Are you a highly skilled Network Designer Consultant looking for an opportunity to make a real impact?

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Collaborate with Network Designers to implement Next-Gen LAN/WAN solutions.
✅ Design and configure SD-WAN policies and templates.
✅ Create high-level and low-level network design workbooks.
✅ Configure switches, routers, and firewalls as per network requirements.
✅ Implement dynamic routing protocols (BGP/OSPF) on SD-WAN and firewall devices.
✅ Perform physical installation of SD-WAN routers, LAN switches, and HA firewalls.
✅ Plan and execute HVAC, Power, UPS, and Generator remediation work.
✅ Develop and enforce Firewall policies and App-Aware routing.
✅ Conduct network testing and troubleshooting.
✅ Implement QoS policies for Next-Gen LAN and WAN.
✅ Maintain network configurations within the inventory database.
✅ Assist facility SMEs and Cable Designers with facility remediation.
✅ Configure and manage Palo Alto Cloud logging.
✅ Deploy and manage Aruba ClearPass for identity management.
✅ Install and configure OOB management firewalls across PSAP locations.
✅ Perform additional project-related tasks as required.

✅ Core Technical Expertise:
Extensive experience with Cisco 9K, SD-WAN (Viptela) configuration, and troubleshooting.
Strong background in Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, and daily operations.
Expertise in VMware networking operations.
Advanced knowledge of IP routing, L2 networking, and VoIP QoS implementation.
Fluent in both Windows and Unix OS Administration.
Hands-on IPv6 experience.
✅ OS & Tools Proficiency:
Automation of network configurations using Jenkins, Ansible, and API scripting.
Experience with Docker Containers, ELK/Elastiflow Stacks, Windows AD, LDAP, and Infoblox DNS.
✅ Technical & Communication Skills:
Strong IP communication and routing expertise (OSPF, BGP).
Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager implementation/configuration experience.
Familiarity with Palo Alto technologies (Panorama, XDR).
Experience with 24×7 critical environments and operations.
Ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to research and troubleshoot networking issues.
Strong customer service orientation.
✅ Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering
7-10 years of network engineering experience.
