We’re Hiring: Director, Integration Platform & Shared Service Delivery – Definity | Toronto (Hybrid)
📍 Location: Downtown Toronto – Hybrid (2 days/week in-office)

About the Role
We’re seeking a Director, Integration Platform & Shared Service Delivery to lead two critical teams within our API & Integration function. This is a hands-on, strategic leadership position where you’ll drive platform evolution, build reusable services, and partner across the enterprise to deliver modern, secure, and scalable integration capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Lead and grow high-performing platform and shared service delivery teams
🔹 Own and evolve our enterprise integration platforms (Apigee, Kafka, cloud-native services)
🔹 Define and execute roadmaps aligned to enterprise goals
🔹 Manage platform SLAs, operational support, and incident handling
🔹 Drive governance, automation, and reusable API/event patterns
🔹 Oversee GenAI integration efforts and cross-domain service delivery
🔹 Track and manage team budgets, financials, vendor relationships
🔹 Collaborate with architecture, security, and business units for seamless alignment
🔹 Ensure compliance with disaster recovery, platform reliability, and availability targets
What We’re Looking For
✅ 10+ years in integration/platform/software engineering roles
✅ 4+ years of direct people leadership experience
✅ Experience leading roadmaps, releases, backlogs, and capacity planning
✅ Strong technical background in APIs, Kafka, microservices, and cloud-native platforms
✅ Experience with GCP, AWS, or Anthos
✅ Proven ability to operate in hybrid environments and cross-functional teams
✅ Excellent communication with both technical and business stakeholders
Nice to Have:
➕ Experience with GenAI, data streaming, and regulated industries (insurance/finance)
