Job Description
We’re Hiring: Senior Project Manager 🚨
📍 Location: Remote (Winnipeg, MB)
📆 Contract Term: Initial term with 2 possible renewals of 12 months each
📅 Submission Deadline: Wednesday, November 27, 2024, 9:00 AM
Responsibilities Include:
🛠️ Manage the project lifecycle, from initiation to operational start-up, ensuring timely delivery within agreed cost and performance parameters.
📝 Define project objectives, budgets, team roles, and responsibilities.
📊 Report progress regularly and prepare plans, charts, and diagrams for effective problem analysis and communication.
🔄 Manage project change requests via approved processes.
📅 Develop and support baseline schedules, work breakdown structures, and conduct critical path analyses.
🤝 Coordinate schedules with internal and external stakeholders.
✔️ Ensure all deliverables and milestones are achieved and manage project sign-offs.
Education:
🎓Degree in Business, Commerce, or related disciplines.
🎓PMP certification or equivalent (mandatory).
🎓Supplementary courses in Risk Management, Program Management, or Agile Project Management (asset).
Experience:
🏆8–10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years managing medium to large projects with complex scopes, high visibility, and multiple stakeholder groups.
🏆Experience in an Agile environment (preferred).
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
💡 Strong leadership and motivational skills for diverse teams.
💡 Ability to manage multiple parallel projects or large-scale project streams.
💡 Expertise in strategic planning, budget management, and requirements gathering/documentation.
💡 Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Visio, SharePoint, MS Project) and experience with Business Case development.
💡 Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
💡 Proven ability to manage vendor contracts, resolve conflicts, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
