Intermediate Project Manager – Transit Agency Experience
Location: Hybrid – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and driven Intermediate Project Manager to lead and support high-impact transit and public sector projects across the Greater Toronto Area. This is a unique opportunity to work on initiatives that directly affect public transportation systems, including bus operations and fleet management.
If you have 5 to 8 years of progressive project management experience—particularly with transportation agencies or public infrastructure projects—we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage the full project lifecycle—from initiation to closure—ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
Create detailed project plans outlining timelines, deliverables, resource needs, and risk mitigation strategies.
Lead communications across internal teams, government agencies, vendors, and community partners.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactively.
Monitor project KPIs and provide ongoing updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure alignment with public sector regulations and internal governance policies.
Support the preparation of RFPs, SOWs, and other procurement documentation.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
PMP Certification is mandatory.
5–8 years of project management experience, with 3–5 years specifically in a Transit Agency or Public Sector environment.
Hands-on experience in bus operations, including fleet scheduling, maintenance, and performance improvement.
Solid grasp of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, or other PM tools.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with transit-specific technologies.
Understanding of provincial/federal procurement processes.
Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI).
